Lonnie is a young girl who through being thrown into a situation of marriage that she didn't plan on and through following her new husband to a new life that she's not sure of leads from a life of abuse to a life of hardship but through strength and courage she finds God's grace and her inner self and finally decides what she wants for her life and marriage. She finds herself and even love and reconciles herself to what love is and what she can make it. Her husband faces his own demons and through her courage he finds out what is important in life and marriage. As they grow up and find their way Blessings and a new life begins to take shape. I found this book to give insight to how you can take your life experiences and make them into a better you and find God in the midst of everything if you just take the time to look, and listen to the still small voice inside.
